Let me present our team first, we are Letizia Caprile, Jonas Stahl, Jaime Pages, and myself Maria Prieto-Moreno, students at the IE School of Architecture in Madrid.

Our project for the Venice Biennale is to investigate about how can universities innovate on the Architect’s education nowadays.

Our purpose for these two years is to collect information about this topic interviewing influential figures in the global architectural scene, architects and people related with the sector in order to write a book with the “101 Testimonies on Innovation in the Education of Architects”

During our stay in Venice, we lived a great experience and we had the chance to interview a really good list of architectural leaders on the sector. Around 20 interesting testimonies will become documentaries for the book. We had diverse responses,very instructive all of them. Find below a list with some of the people filmed:

From now on, we will be posting the videos and interviewee’s profiles on the Spanishlab Academic Platform, we would like to provoke the debate about how to improve the innovation of the architect’s education.

That is how the Spanish Pavilion entrance look today!

Curator Debora Mesa has send this pictures of the current status of the pavillion. In the picture, the main logo designed by Alberto Corazon is in the picture with the installation of Menis Architects and selgascano.

Dry assembly of the glass dome components today in Venice. The Cloud9 installation team leaded by Mireia Luzarraga has completed the glass dome. This pieces has been produced by Cricursa.

RCR Architects are in Venice setting up their installation during this week. In this post you can find some images of the development process of the different pieces of their installation.

Cloud9 has sent us this morning some pictures of the status of their installation before leaving to Venice. In the image all the different pieces are unfolded in the floor of Cloud 9 office.

The patterns designed by Boamistura are being painted in the Spanish Pavillion of the Venice Biennale.

Fernando Menis and his team are one of the first in assembling at the Spanish Pavilion in Venice. Fernando himself  is highly involved in the construction process of his exhibition piece.
